Local Government Association at Westminster

Endemol Productions Filming

Endemol Productions filmed recently in HH for a new series of Super Size v Super Skinny to be screened for Television in the near future.The filming involved a contestant on the show walking through Hubbards Hills as part of their interview.

Nordic Walking taster sessions in East Lindsey

NORDIC walking, one of the world’s fastest growing fitness activities, is coming to Louth and Skegness, as part of a health programme for the local community.
To give local people a chance to try the activity, East Lindsey District Council is holding free taster sessions in both areas.
Using specially designed poles, Nordic Walking uses all major muscles in the body and burns 20% - 40% more calories than ordinary walking.

World Book Night

WORLD was the operative word when the Hubbards Hills Trust hosted an inaugural World Book Night event at the Louth beauty spot early in March. Mrs Margaret Williams, pictured front left, is very soon to emigrate to New Zealand and is delighted to be able to take a copy of Alan Bennett's "A Life Like Other People's" with her to her new home. WORLD Book Night is coming to Hubbards Hills!
Hubbards Hills is a much loved treasure and the Hubbards Hills Trust hopes the 50 free books they will be giving away this coming Saturday as part of the national World Book Night initiative will also become a  favourite with local people.

Hills press release

HUBBARD’S HILLS Trust has started 2011 on a high note after successfully landing an important grant from the Wolds Sustainable Development Fund to draw up a Draft Management Plan for the beauty spot on the western edge of Louth.

Lincolnshire Biodiviersty Partnership

We are delighted to report that Hubbards Hills was selected on March 24 2010 as a Local Wildlife Site as part of the Lincolnshire Biodiversity Partnership programme.

Local wildlife sites are wildlife-rich areas that have been identified and selected for their nature conservation value. These sites are amongst the best places for wildlife in the county and represent the local character and distinctiveness of Lincolnshire. The Hubbard’s Hills Trust is looking to recruit Hills Angels to support our efforts in keeping the Hills looking clean and tidy, in a good state of repair and of course to help us raise much needed funds for the regeneration of east Lincolnshire’s most loved beauty spot.
